Week 2: Oreo Pops

Hello Pinterest Fanatics!  I hope you all had a maaaarvelous week!

I am back again!  And this week...I will show you how to make Oreo Pops!
These are an adorable, delicious, and simple treat to make for ANY occassion!

My inspiration comes from...Hip Hip Hooray!!

And the result...

Here's what you'll need for this project...

Double Stuff Oreos
Wilton's Candy Melts
(I prefer white, but you can use whatever color you like)
Lollipop Sticks
Sprinkles!
Wax Paper

First, insert the lollipop sticks into the cream of the Oreos (as many as you want to make).  Be careful with this part.  You need to insert the stick slowly and carefully...so you don't break the Oreo!  Also, try to only push it about halfway through the cookie because you don't want it coming out the other end! :)

Next, melt the Wilton's Candy Melts.  To melt, just follow the directions on the package.  I use a double boiler because, in my opinion, it is easier to monitor your candy melts...and you are less likely to burn your candy this way!

Once your candy is sufficiently melted, it's time to coat the Oreos!  Simply dip the Oreos-on-a-stick into the melted candy.  Make sure to coat the Oreos evenly; you really don't want any of the cookie showing.  I also used a spoon to pour the melted candy over the Oreos...it seemed to give it a more even coverage.  Once your Oreo-on-a-stick is completely covered in melted candy, lightly tap the stick along the side of the pan/bowl to remove any excess candy.  Then, place on a piece of wax paper to dry.  Before the candy completely drys, make sure to add sprinkles of your choice!

And...you're done!  That's it!

Once all of your Oreo Pops are dry, you can remove
from the wax paper and serve on a pretty serving dish!

How easy is that?!?  And delicious too!

Thanks for reading!
And stay tuned for another great project next week!!

XOXO
Brittney
